The last week really has seen a change of season with autumn arriving and the temperature dropping by 10℃ in a matter of days!
As I write this there are now less than 62 days until Christmas, but before you panic and start thinking about getting the sprouts on a low heat and booking a supermarket delivery slot. There is a more important deadline looming! It’s only 34 days until UKISUG Connect at the ICC, Birmingham.
Most of the programme is now finalised and the keynote speakers have been announced. I am really pleased to be able to welcome Will Kintish, who will kick off the event on Sunday evening with his ’Are you a nosey Parker?’ session. Will has spoken at our event before and will no doubt have some great tips on networking and getting the most from your attendance at events like Connect. The conference will close on Tuesday afternoon with Olympian - Fatima Whitbread. Fatima is an engaging speaker who will talk about her rise to success and the trials and tribulations along the way along with her jungle experiences and recent documentaries. |

On the Monday we will have a keynote from Ryan Poggi, the new Managing Director of SAP in the UK & Ireland. I recently had the opportunity to sit down and record a video & podcast with Ryan where we talked about his return to the UK, Rise with SAP & SAP BTP and his plans for the market unit, have a listen here.
What is really difficult to put into words here is the buzz of an event like this, it’s the coming together of a community, SAP Users, Partners and SAP themselves. With over 100 breakout sessions, many of which are delivered by our members, it’s the opportunity to learn from other members of the community. The buzz continues as you walk around the ICC and exhibition space. Oh and of course there is SUGFest! If you have not booked your space yet then don’t hang around. I strongly recommend you take a look at the website, or contact our team for an insight into UKISUG Connect See you in Birmingham!

The Role of AR Automation for the Digital Office of the CFO
Efficient cash application is the linchpin for smooth AR operations and financial stability – and yet, it grapples with pressing pain points. In the absence of any digitisation, the reality of the cash application function remains all about laboring under manual processes, losing time and resources, data complexity, and scalability issues.
For CFOs looking to automate their AR processes, cash application can be a great starting point. The core offerings should include independence, flexibility, and real-time visibility to enhance efficiency and resource optimisation. As receivables, remittance advices and bank statement processing are subject to changes, an ideal AR solution should allow finance teams to react swiftly to these changes, make first-hand improvements, and thereby achieve efficiency enhancements out of their own resources. For SAP users, choosing SAP embedded solutions would ensure a clean core, make upgrades easy and migrations to S/4HANA simple.
FS² AutoBank is a world-class future-proof cash application solution for highly automated receivables matching and real-time update and posting in SAP. With the intelligent application of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), FS² AutoBank reaches new levels of automation by reducing manual efforts to a minimum and eliminating unapplied cash up to zero. Serrala's solutions are integrated, embedded into and have the same interface as SAP. We post and update data in SAP in real-time, ensuring that our customers do not have to worry about sending data from cloud/other systems to SAP. SAP remains the single source of truth for invoices and customer payments. To find out more about FS² AutoBank, join us at the UKISUG Annual Connect Conference, where representatives from Serrala will discuss industry pain points, current trends, our revolutionary solution, and more.
