Welcome back, I hope you all managed to get a break over the summer and are ready for the push to Christmas! As seems to be the norm it’s been back to school over the last week or two and guess what it's suddenly got dry and sunny!
While the number of events we run over the summer start to decrease, the UKISUG Team has been busy behind the scenes preparing a bumper series of events and webinars for the autumn. We have 12 Special Interest Groups this month, everything from Payroll to Personas, ALM to Audit, Ireland to Innovating with SAP S4! Please look at the calendar to see what’s happening over the coming months.
At our heart we are a membership community and attending events, joining webinars, speaking at an event enables you to participate in that community and get the best from your Membership. Our amazing full-time team and our extensive network of talented volunteers will be ready to welcome you along!
As we move into September, my thoughts start to turn to our annual conference, in fact I have already had the first planning meeting for my Keynote! Over the coming weeks you will start to see more and more information about Connect and we will shortly be launching the programme of events and speakers for this year. As ever, we are making every effort to make this bigger and better than last year! We are still on the lookout for members to speak at this year’s event, so if you have a story to tell, experiences to share please get in touch with our team and remember if you speak at the event, you will get a free pass!

Over the summer you will have seen announcements from SAP about the availability of future innovation, that have the potential to impact on premise and some cloud customers. We are currently working to understand how this impacts you, our members, and will be back with our initial thoughts soon.

HARRODS ADOPTS A NEW HOLISTIC 360-DEGREE VIEW OF THE CUSTOMER TO INCREASE ENGAGEMENT, RETENTION AND SPEND |
|
|
The world’s leading luxury department store, Harrods, has completed an ambitious 18-month project, led by KPS, to elevate customer experiences by streamlining their journeys both online and offline. Among the benefits are improved customer loyalty via a unified approach to communications and promotional activities, and the ability to enhance sales via increased customer engagement and retention. Creating the Golden Record
Synonymous with customer experience, Harrods has become a hallmark of luxury retail. But Harrods is no ordinary retailer. Its flagship 93,000 square metre, seven-floor department store in London’s Knightsbridge, signature green bags, beautiful interiors and world-renowned food halls attracts a varied audience of shoppers, including high net worth customers, celebrities, and visitors from all over the globe. The Challenge
For a unique multi-faceted retailer like Harrods, loyalty is an integral part of its wider CRM strategy. Introduced in 2008 to replace a store card product, Harrods ‘Rewards’ loyalty programme allows members to earn points and awards exclusive access to an array of benefits, across four membership levels (Green 1, Green 2, Gold and Black’ that are determined by annual spend. Although well positioned with an existing CRM solution, more and more systems were being added across its varied services, resulting in siloed customer data sets that didn’t connect, e.g. different records were stored in different systems, but not linked to each other.
Find out how KPS helped Harrods achieve a single view of customer in the latest case study below. |

ADJUSTMENT OF SAP SUPPORT FEES 2024 |
|
|
In light of the current macroeconomic climate of high inflation rates, some of you may be aware that SAP has announced that it has decided to adjust its fees. The support fee for existing support agreements for SAP Standard Support, SAP Enterprise Support, and SAP Product Support for large Enterprises will be adjusted based on the respective local Consumers Price Index (CPI). As a result, SAP will increase the annual support fee for the aforementioned SAP support agreements by a maximum of 5.0% (or the local CPI rate, if lower), effective January 1 2024.
As always, we value your insight and therefore after the Summer break, we will be reaching out to you to collect your views on the price increase. Your feedback has and will continue to help UKISUG in our future discussions with SAP. |
