Welcome to your February News
Chairman's Note
With January well and truly out of the way it’s time to look forward to the rest of the year. We’ve had great success with our Women in SAP initiative and we can’t wait to continue to make our community a diverse and vibrant place!
We have a whole host of events coming up for you, but we can’t wait to see as many of you as possible at our face-to-face events. That’s right, they’re back, and our Security (ACS) SIG will be the first on the calendar. This will be our first steps back into normality and we know it’s going to be a huge success. We will continue to host a selection of virtual events as well, ensuring UKISUG can support a broad range of learning and networking opportunities meeting your needs. Additionally, I am pleased to confirm that we will be restarting our symposia this year. For this first event we'll be at The Vox, Birmingham on April 5th for the Analytics Symposium, an invaluable day for those of you involved in analytics and users of BusinessObjects software! Take a look at our full events calendar and get involved.
By now you should know our Learning Hub offer is back! Learning Hub is a fantastic learning and development experience and with cloud-based teaching you can access your training anytime, anywhere. We’ve got a blog post for you explaining the benefits of training and how Learning Hub can give you that edge when it comes to progressing within your organisation. April licences are open to renew or purchase and we hope you’ll take advantage of our exclusive member discount.
Nominations are open for our Director Elections, check your emails as Vicky will have been in touch to let you know how to take part! Nominations are running until 2nd March, so if you’re interested or know someone who might be, get the ball rolling and start having your say in how your User Group is run. If you’ve missed the emails, get in touch with vicky.lane@sapusers.org, for more information.
Thank you for continuously supporting your UKISUG community!

Moving beyond Customer Relationship Management: avoid these common pitfalls to achieve CX excellence with a CRM transformation
Despite a strong link between customer experience (CX) and supporting technologies that help orchestrate that experience - like a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, CRM transformations alone will not help delight your customers. What will, is a unified CX and CRM that enhances the service experience by focusing on customer personas and behaviours and adapting to the constantly evolving technological landscape, customer expectations, and the extended business ecosystem.
Why CRM transformations fail? Here are four key reasons why CRM transformations fail to deliver rewarding experiences to customers:
Building the CRM-CX link
Adopting a tightly integrated set of CX solutions - like the SAP Sales and Service Cloud is the key to orchestrating end-to-end customer workflows in a department-agnostic fashion. The ability to support customers as they engage with sales, customer service, or field technicians through a single solution is critical to delivering delightful experiences - and also what makes SAP one of the best CRM providers in the market today. Others include lower TCO, bringing innovations to market on a quarterly basis, and a relentless focus on customer-centricity.

At UKISUG we value knowledge and collaboration within our membership and we want to make sure you can find and access some of the best learning materials possible.
Developed by SAP, Learning Hub offers resources for every system area, with a massive range of content to make sure you can train in your core areas and dabble in any others that interest you.

Influence SAP The start of another year means it's the perfect time to look at the opportunities available to you and your organisation to get involved in shaping the future of your SAP products.
Do you have a great idea for a new product? Would you like to see a specific SAP enhancement or feature? Want to experience SAP beta software - and implement new releases as soon as they hit the market?
SAP's Customer Engagement Initiative is NOW LIVE and available for participation until 11th March. The CEI initiative provides you with early insights into new SAP development. This is your opportunity to provide feedback, input and influence new SAP products and developments.

'I have presented a few times and that has been great. You feel even more connected with the User Group. The amount of connections I made afterwards from people reaching out to ask questions, has helped me build a broader network of people across the UK and Ireland from a business and knowledge perspective.' - Conor Riordan, Pfizer
