CHAIRMAN'S NOTE
It’s December and just where has the time gone? It’s been an amazing year for the UKISUG Community, and you’ve been instrumental in that success. Let’s take a little time to recap on what exactly has happened in 2022.
We welcomed back face-to-face events with enthusiasm, and we were glad to see so many of you back in person. We were, of course, over the moon to be back in Dublin for our Ireland Symposium, just one of three that we ran last year with a focus on Data, Analytics and S/4HANA. All were a huge success, and we can’t thank you enough for attending and bringing these events to life. Looking forward to 2023, you can expect to find Symposiums dedicated to Data & Analytics, Ireland and, the biggest hitter from SAP, Business Technology Platform (BTP). Of course, we’ll be back with our SIGs throughout the year, jam-packed with content specifically curated for you.

Now when it comes to successful events, it would be rude not to mention the absolutely phenomenal UKISUG Connect 2022. It was a joy from start to finish and to see so many of you learning, engaging and networking with the entire SAP community was brilliant to see. We’ve seen nothing but positive feedback so far and it’s been fulfilling to see that so many of you so thoroughly enjoyed your time. If you can’t wait for next year, you can register now and access our exclusive Early Bird Rate of £450 +VAT, just click here to find out more.
As we say goodbye to 2022, whether professionally or personally, let’s celebrate what’s to come in 2023.
Finally, I would like to say a massive thanks to our amazing team in Teesside, our SIG Chairs and the Board, for your support and commitment to the UKISUG Community over the last year. Until next time, Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year. Paul Cooper Chairman UK & Ireland SAP User Group |

You don’t have to be a die-hard “Trekkie” fan be familiar with the popular personal sustainability message “Live long and prosper.” And by talking about how organizations should start small to prosper from HR automation, a recent podcast highlights how that approach is also a better route to business sustainability.
Earlier this year, Accenture Software for Human Capital Management Sales Lead Venky Seshadri got together with Phil Southall a SAP solutions architect from Edenhouse, an SAP solutions architect company now part of Accenture, to discuss how a new novel way to manage documents can drive value for the longer term.
The discussion focused on exploring Accenture Document Composer, an extension that works quietly in the background to get the job done. It is an intelligent, easy-to-use tool that creates, stores, retrieves or views documents while working in harmony with SAP SuccessFactors. And standard templates, tailored to an individual company’s brand, mean documents such as bonus letters, or even mass mailings, can be easily produced.
All organizations are looking for more sustainable value that’s linked to performance, not simply compliance. Yet, many business leaders struggle to target, manage, measure and report on performance. Accenture Document Composer has reporting capabilities that offer insights into key performance indicators, such as template usage, document volumes and so on—elements that are vital to improve HR performance and maintain sustainability. Plus, the digital offering eliminates paper trails and shipping to reduce overall carbon footprint.
So if you want your business to be more sustainable, start small and scale—the more you automate, the faster the benefits and the greater the time savings.
