Chairman's Note
The last week has definitely felt like spring is here, especially as we managed that rare event, a sunny set of Bank Holidays. Earlier this month we had great success with our first face-to-face Symposium in two years, it was great to finally start getting back to normal. Let’s keep this momentum going as we return to face to face events and bring this success into the rest of the year.
Our first symposium of the year was a great hit! We had some amazing speakers with some great opportunities for enlightening conversations and collaborations. It was wonderful to see our community, our sponsors and SAP representatives together again and holds promise for our events in the future. While we all love a Teams meeting there is something special and vibrant at an in person event that virtual just cannot do! If you were lucky enough to attend the event, share your experience online and make sure to give us a mention!

With more organisations now offering hybrid and flexible working arrangements, managing, and measuring employee time and attendance must evolve. Time management applications must now accommodate flexible working schedules and track workforce time recording from anywhere at any time as well as delivering long-term investment security.
For those reviewing and updating their SAP HCM applications, systems that provide employee self-service and digital solutions such as Mobile Key, can meet these new workplace challenges. Organisations that fully integrate extended Time Recording applications directly in SAP (On-Premise or Cloud) and utilise existing IT infrastructure without the need for additional third party applications, offer further benefits for companies looking to minimise training and administration with seamless migration.
dormakaba has over 30-years’ experience delivering these applications to SAP users worldwide. With their Time Evaluation solution strategy aligned to the future migration of SAP ERP (HCM), their experts can support organisations to meet the changing demands of today’s flexible workplace.
They can accommodate multiple time zones, languages, individual site policies and methods of recording employee’s working hours into one standardised, single source platform, to ensure that all data is recorded and reported accurately. Whether this be simple clocking in and out for payroll or more complex requirements for labour reporting. Notably, as an access control experts, they can extend these solutions to accommodate secure employee and visitor access to your site at any time – all within SAP.
To discuss how your company’s employee time recording could benefit, please contact hcmsolutions.gb@dormakaba.com, or visit www.dormakaba.co.uk/erp-applications for more information.
