Welcome to your August News
Chairman's Note
Welcome to our August newsletter, I hope that you have managed to get some time away from work at some point during the summer. The schools have already started to return in Scotland and it is not long until we reach September.
We are excited to announce the return of 'face to face' in the coming months. These will be in September (Maintenance & Service Management) and October (Supply Chain Management). They will allow opportunities to meet-up and network once again.
Our mental wellbeing webinars are continuing with a resilience workshop happening in early September with Alex Crow. Join us for an amazing chance to create the future you want.
We would like to introduce our first ever Women in SAP coffee session happening in September. This is to support and drive diversity within the SAP ecosystem and UKISUG member base. This has proved a popular event, but you have the opportunity to join the waiting list here. We are also planning to hold similar events in the future so watch this space!
We have launched our annual membership survey, which is an important piece of research for us. It provides us with feedback on how key SAP offerings are being received and adopted, a temperature check on challenges you may be facing and it's great for us as your User Group to get feedback on how we are doing. As a member organisation it’s important we are meeting your needs and representing the user community in the UK and Ireland. If the invite to participate in the survey has landed in your inbox, please complete the questionnaire and you might even win one of our great prizes!
For all you photography enthusiasts we are almost at the end of this year's UKISUG Photography Competition, as ever there have been some amazing entries. There are some great prizes on offer and most importantly the opportunity to feature in the 2022 UKISUG calendar.
Plans for UKISUG Connect 2021 are now in full flow, with the exhibition almost sold out! We're in the process of building the programme, with 13 streams for you to get involved in. Do you have an SAP story to share at the conference? We are always looking for customer speakers, members want to hear their peers' stories! Customer speakers will also receive a free pass including accommodation for the conference. Visit the speaker portal to get started.
Enjoy what remains of the summer, stay safe and keep washing your hands!

Automate Your Entire SAP Ecosystem From A Single Pane of Glass
Your SAP ecosystem is at the heart of your enterprise’s digital evolution.
Today’s IT environments are becoming more diverse and complicated, as modern public and private cloud platforms today run in parallel with legacy and on-premises systems. The volume of data and number of data sources are expanding as well. All of these systems and this data must be brought together to support your business processes and customers in real time.
Orchestrating and automating these data flows and processes seamlessly within your SAP ecosystem – and beyond – is vital. IT organisations need a single pane of glass that can give insight and control over planning, forecasting, production, billing and other business processes, no matter how complex the environment is or where the systems or data are hosted.
That’s what Redwood does.
They give enterprises a single pane of glass that enables them to automate and monitor their entire IT and SAP ecosystem to operate more efficiently and reliably, to be more agile and responsive, and to enable greater focus on innovation and transformation.
Let them show you how they’re helping thousands of organisations worldwide:

Not to mention increased visibility within the SAP community and vastly improved networking possibilities. Spare 15 minutes, share your thoughts and win! As mentioned in Paul's update, you should have now received an invite to take part in our Annual Member Survey. This year, we are using Qualtrics to distribute the survey - so make sure you whitelist the email address: noreply@qemailserver.com.
Our role as a User Group is to provide you with as many relevant learning, networking and collaboration opportunities as possible to make sure you get the best out of your SAP journey. We value your feedback and want to know what we can do to make a difference to you and how we can help you in your role, whilst increasing the value of your membership.
We would really appreciate your completion of our membership survey, so once submitted, you will be entered into our huge prize draw! You could be the lucky winner of one of our fantastic prizes. Watch this space!
Our chosen charity for UKISUG Connect 2021 is Anthony Nolan.
Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. They do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. They also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond.
This year, to make donating easier for our members, we have set up a just giving page. This means you can donate however and wherever you like, whether you are attending the conference or not. Both UKISUG and Anthony Nolan appreciate your support.
A New Wellbeing Programme for Late Summer We have a brand new programme of mental health and wellbeing sessions to close off your summer, including an interactive resilience workshop with Alex Crow and Simon Nichols takes us on a mindful walk.
