Welcome to your September News
Chairman's Note
Welcome to this month's newsletter and the autumn term, although from the weather this week you would not think it was mid-September!
Earlier this week we managed to hold the first ‘face to face’ gathering of our SIG Chairs and the User Group Team at the ICC in Birmingham, for nearly two years. It was great to see everyone again and hear the buzz, energy and ideas in the room! Thanks to you all for your continued commitment and drive to make UKISUG a success!
Our first 'face to face' events are happening next week (Maintenance & Service Management) and the following week (Supply Chain Management). We are really looking forward to seeing you in person again. Next week our member survey closes, if you have not yet taken the opportunity to give us your feedback on the User Group and key SAP topics please do complete it. We are looking forward to seeing the results and your comments once the survey concludes and to putting in place the improvements you want.
Following your feedback in last year’s Member Survey we have updated our website. We've cleaned things up and improved the search function. We hope you enjoy the update as much as we do and if you have any feedback, please let us know.
If you get chance for a walk this weekend, hopefully the summer sticks around and provides you opportunities for some amazing photos. With only a week to go until the UKISUG Photography Competition closes, remember to take your camera and send us a picture, you could find yourself featuring in next year’s calendar.
Hopefully, we will see many of you at our annual conference in Birmingham in November – ‘UKISUG Connect 2021’. We will be publishing the agenda in the coming weeks, so please keep an eye on the website, and your inbox, for details. We are always looking for customer speakers as our members want to hear their peers' stories. Remember customer speakers at UKISUG Connect receive a free pass including accommodation for the event. Visit the speaker portal to get started.
Remember the summer rate for the conference ends next week!
Stay safe and keep washing your hands!

New BTP Customer Council SAP is striving to improve the user experience and to make working with their products easier. For this, they are looking for feedback from users who are working with the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP, formerly: SAP Cloud Platform) every day. SAP would like to get their insights on what is helpful and where they need to improve the application help, or provide additional information.
The customer council group was founded for the collaboration with their customers and partners on this topic and is now looking for developers, software architects and administrators who use the SAP BTP and have a strong technical background.
The customer council is an open discussion round where authors from SAP ask specific questions on the SAP BTP documentation (covering the help portal, blogs, and guided tours as well as videos and embedded help). Tell them what you like, what you miss, and where they need to improve or enhance their help offerings to make using the SAP BTP easier.
SAP plan to run the customer council as a long-running community and will send out a topic for feedback roughly every 4-6 weeks. If you decide to give feedback for a specific topic, they ask to please invest some time for reading or trying out the materials as well as a 1-hour call to discuss your feedback.
If you are interested in a first-hand exchange with SAP as well as other SAP customers and partners to develop and enhance SAP BTP help materials together with SAP authors, please contact SAP´s Kerstin Billen at customer.council.BTP@sap.com . You can also get in touch if you have further questions concerning the customer council. When you are interested, SAP will invite you to a call for new customer council participants to explain the concept in detail and to answer your questions. Our chosen charity for UKISUG Connect 2021 is Anthony Nolan.
Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. They do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. They also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond.
This year, to make donating easier for our members, we have set up a just giving page. This means you can donate however and wherever you like, whether you are attending the conference or not. Both UKISUG and Anthony Nolan appreciate your support.
Competition closes 30th September!
