It’s good to talk (in-person)… Why you should attend UKISUG CONNECT 2022

Published on

In his book Leaders Eat Last, American author Simon Sinek says, ”Trust is not formed through a screen, it is formed across a table. It takes a handshake to bind humans... and no technology yet can replace that. There is no such thing as virtual trust.”

Business, and life itself, is all about the relationships we build and the levels of trust we form. Yet, many of us are still languishing in post-covid isolation, working from home, and only engaging with colleagues, partners and customer via Teams or Zoom.

The good news, however, is that in-person events are back in vogue. Recently, at some of our recent in-person UKISUG events, members said it was the first event they had been to since 2019!

The opportunity to network remains one of the main functions of UKISUG, something valued by more than 70% of our members. Therefore, if you haven’t registered already, we’d strongly recommend that you sign up for UKISUG CONNECT 2022, which is taking place between the 27-29th November at the ICC in Birmingham.

UKISUG CONNECT will again bring together more than 70 SAP partners and 600 SAP customers from across the UK and Ireland so they can network and share insights.

This year’s conference will focus on ‘Driving success for the SAP community’, featuring a full agenda of interactive workshops and networking opportunities. In total UKISUG CONNECT will offer more than 90 hours of educational content. Delegates will have the opportunity to meet and interact with SAP, industry experts, and policymakers, to help them maximise their current and future investments in SAP.

UKISUG CONNECT kicks off with a keynote from guest speaker Will Kintish, author of best-selling book Business Networking – The Survival Guide, who will be giving a masterclass on networking to help everyone get the most from the conference. On day two there will be keynotes from Paul Cooper, Chairman of UK&I SAP User Group; Michiel Verhoeven, Managing Director of SAP UK&I; and customer keynotes from Glen Dimplex and Unipart. Closing CONNECT will be Dame Inga Beale, the former CEO of Lloyd’s of London. She will share her expertise on the cultural and technological transformation required to make modern businesses a success.

SUGFest will also be making a return, with this year’s theme ‘SUGFest in the Sun’ to celebrate the return of summer holidays, with fantastic food and amazing entertainment across different areas.

UKISUG CONNECT remains the premier SAP user event in the UK and Ireland, so if you want to learn from and network with your industry peers, what are you waiting for? Sign up to UKISUG CONNECT today!
