Looking back at UKISUG Connect 2023

Published on

It only feels like yesterday that we concluded this year’s CONNECT conference with an inspirational fireside chat with Fatima Whitbread, MBE. Over the course of three days, over 1,000 of you joined us to discuss all aspects of SAP and more widely network and enjoy some great food as well!

We welcomed back Will Kintish, author of best-selling book ‘Business Networking – The Survival Guide,’ to kick things off with an opinion keynote, prior to a networking event on the Sunday. This session ensured everyone could get the most out of the networking session.

The event saw some great media coverage – some of which is highlighted here. Articles included an event overview by ERP Today, published here, and also coverage following our opening keynote from UKISUG chair Paul Cooper keynote in Computer Weekly, Computing, and diginomica.

It was also great to have a number of end user customers take part in media interviews to share their experiences and cover the topics of their CONNECT sessions with an even wider audience. These included Nikki Morris from The AA – which you can read about here on Computing alongside Chris Ward from McBride – who spoke with Computer Weekly and diginomica.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to all of the speakers that shared their organisations’ experiences in the break-out sessions that took place across the event. By sharing your insight, strategy, and processes, you are a valuable asset to the entire community to learn from.

One of the true highlights of ever CONNECT conference is of course our SUGFest networking event. It was incredible to see how many attendees dusted off their tuxedos and ballgowns to make the masquerade ball a resounding success. The dance floor was certainly full late into the night!

The team here at UKISUG is already hard at work starting to plan for next year’s event to make it an even bigger success. Early-bird registration for UKISUG CONNECT 2024, which is taking place 1-3 December, is available until the end of the year – so don’t miss out and register at: https://brightelm.eventsair.com/ukisug-connect-2024/registration2024homepage/Site/Register.

We look forward to seeing you in Birmingham once again in 2024!
