Delivering Results at the Analytics Symposium

At the event, SAPs Innovation Evangelist Timo Elliott, delivered a keynote around Driving Business Innovation through Big Data Analytics. Timo argued that analytics is no longer an afterthought to operational systems; its now the foundation for the innovative organisations of the future. In addition to Timos speech there were a number of breakout sessions looking at issues such as how analytics can become part of your customer experience, the rise of collaborative insight, and new best practices for analytics teams. Attendees also heard some concrete success stories of businesses turning data into innovation.

Throughout the rest of the day we had streams running across four key areas: data visualisation, technical, trends & strategy, and data warehousing. As part of these streams, attendees gained an insight into mobile reporting using Business Objects and Business Warehouse, lifecycle management best practices and upgrading to BI 4.1.
