SAP User Group Conference 2014 A Round Up

Following User Group chairman Philip Adams speech diginomica, which focused on The User Groups need to see more help coming from SAP to encourage innovation and adoption, ComputerWorld UK chose to focus on SAPs communication with its customers and quoted the companys own customer satisfaction surveys, in which customers noted a 19 per cent improvement in the ease of doing business with SAP over the last year. Computing quoted SAPs new UK & Ireland MD Cormac Watters who said, We need to get closer to the customers, while Computer Weekly cited a number of statistics from the User Groups recent adoption of innovation survey. IT Pro published a Q&A with Philip, which covered a range of subjects from licencing to cloud.

A number of end-user interviews also took place during the conference. Affinity Sutton, one of the largest providers of affordable housing in the UK, discussed with Computing how it was using SAP BusinessObjects to deliver mobile BI reporting on iPads for its employees in the field. Meanwhile, IT Pro wrote about water company United Utilities journey with SAP and the recruitment firm Sthrees mission to deploy mobile working solutions.
