SAP Users Learn How to Optimise their Landscapes for Future Innovation

Published on

Recently, we held our Optimising your SAP Landscape Symposium in London, focused on helping users to optimise their current SAP landscapes. The day was a great success, with over 130 attendees, 10 exhibitors and several high-profile speakers.

Neil Start, MD of Rapid ERP gave a presentation to users that looked at ways to get more from an existing SAP solution, upcoming innovations in Solution Manager 7.2 and how to build a solid foundation a future migration to S/4 HANA which is currently a hot topic for our User Group members.

Mark Darbyshire, Chief Technologist at SAP UK&I was another of our speakers. Marks presentation, Simplifying the Business and Getting More Done, focused on how S4/HANA provides businesses with the means to simplify their operations, allowing them to run more efficiently. It was also timely, given SAPs recent launch of a cloud edition of S4/HANA that aims to support hybrid cloud environments.

Our symposium comes at a time when 93% of SAP users admit to finding optimising their SAP landscape a challenge. The biggest barriers companies are experiencing around optimisation were a combination of factors, including lack of budget, time and skills.

With four streams at the symposium, including Simplify to Succeed, Data & Document Management, Solution Manager and Preparing for the Future, there was something for everyone. Indeed, Anastassiya Iordan of Centrica said, Great event enjoyed the ability to participate in several streams at once. Perfect number and diversity of attendees and presenting companies.

Others that attended on the day were similarly positive about their experience, with Simon Bacon of OD Stores Ltd complimenting the symposium as, An excellent event, which was very well organised and informative. Finally, Romina Esposito from recruitment specialist SThree commented that, The highlights of the day were the HANA related presentations!

The optimisation symposium was just the latest in a series of events that aim to give SAP users the knowledge they need to make the most of their SAP investments. Our next symposium, on the 2nd June, will look at the subject of Analytics in greater detail; exploring the latest interesting trends in Big Data and Analytics.
