This announcement was then followed with the significant launch of S/4 HANA Cloud Edition, building on the initial unveiling of S/4 HANA back in February. The ultimate aim of S/4 HANA for cloud is to allow businesses to run their entire enterprise in the cloud, and introduce robust hybrid solutions.

Clearly SAP is continuing its focus on cloud, and its also interesting to see its commitment on developing its IoT capabilities.

There was more data news in June, as SAP introduced new features in SAP Predictive Analytics Software to improve the ability of customers to carry out predictive analysis on large datasets. Next, SAP introduced new capabilities in the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite to provide an end-to-end view of an employee and simplify the management of changes to employee data something SAP identifies as a significant cost to businesses.
