Analytics Symposium: Making the most out of big data through collaboration

Published on

The sheer amount of data we generate on a day to day basis is growing at an unprecedented rate, however, just a fraction of this data is being utilised fully. Forrester recently found that while 74% of firms say they want to be ‘data-driven’, only 29% state they are good at connecting analytics to action. Many SAP users also face the challenge of how to make the most of their data. One of the major barriers is that organisations are often unable to use analytics tools effectively, and require additional guidance from experienced users and experts.

Our annual Analytics Symposium, taking place on the 5th of April, is designed to help users get the best from their SAP solutions, and develop Business Intelligence, Big Data and Data Visualisation Reporting capabilities. Alongside a dozen sessions that will demonstrate how users can improve their data visualisation and reporting processes, a number of experts will also be speaking. Francois Imberton, Director of BI Clients Product Management at SAP, will be presenting SAPs BI strategy & roadmap; explaining how the cloud can complement the BI suite, as well as taking your questions. This is a great opportunity to feedback directly to SAP with any queries or concerns you might have, and to meet and collaborate with other BI Suite users.

David Millburn from SAP consulting firm itelligence UK, will discuss the most common challenges that SAP Analytics customers face, and offer advice on how to bypass these issues – such as consolidating data from a number of varied sources. David will also present live data insights and run advanced analytics scenarios. The remaining sessions include discussions on John Lewis’ journey to SAP Business Insights 4.2; to advice on reducing the cost of ownership for your BI platform, from SAP BI architecture firm CubeScape Ltd.

This year’s Analytics Symposium will take place at the Cavendish Conference Centre, 22 Duchess Mews. You can find out more information and register on the event page, and the full agenda is available for download here.
