Organisational Changes at SAP

In early April, the chairperson of the SAP Supervisory Board Hasso Plattner announced three additional members would join the SAP Executive Board, effective July 1, 2008.

Corporate Officers Ernie Gunst, Bill McDermott, and Jim Hagemann Snabe were officially welcomed to the SAP Board on 2nd July. These additions reinforce SAPs strong commitment to sustainable, profitable growth, technology innovation, and delivery of superior value to their customers going forward.

In addition SAP appointed new Presidents in the EMEA region and Latin America.

Jos Duarte assumes the role of president and CEO of SAP EMEA and Rodolpho Cardenuto as president and CEO of SAP Latin America.

Also, the new role of chief operating officer (COO) was created and Ernie Gunst assumes this role being responsible for company operations and process efficiency.

Bill McDermott has been named president and CEO of the new Board area Global Field Operations, responsible for all global sales regions worldwide.

Jim Hagemann Snabe assumes responsibility for the new Business Solutions & Technology Board area, which comprises the development units behind the SAP Business Suite applications, including SAP CRM, and the SAP NetWeaver technology platform.

Also, Doug Merritt is taking on a new role as executive vice president and general manager of Business User Global Sales, another component in SAPs ongoing successful efforts to integrate Business Objects with SAP. Doug will be responsible for all revenues generated from the sale of Business User products through any channel on a global basis.
