UKISUG and ICC Birmingham announce three-year deal

We're delighted to announce that we have agreed a deal with the ICC, that will see our annual conference - UKISUG Connect - continue to be held at the Birmingham venue until 2021.

Since 2013 the event has been held at the ICC, with 2018's conference already confirmed to be taking place at the 9104 square metre venue. Now, the agreement has been extended to cover 2019, 2020 and 2021 events.

The three-day event for 900 attendees utilises the entire venue to facilitate networking, knowledge exchange and best practice amongst our members, culminating in SUGFest which gives delegates an evening of informal networking, great food and fantastic entertainment.

Craig Dale, Chief Executive for UK & Ireland SAP User Group, said:- “We are pleased to have signed a further three-year deal with the ICC for UKISUG Connect. We have been bringing this event to the ICC since 2013 and we can’t imagine it being anywhere else.

“Not only is the venue situated in an excellent location – which is important for our delegates – but we have had a consistent approach from our dedicated ICC team since our first event and it is clear they are completely committed, and passionate, about making our conference a success.”

With 500 SAP customers, over 100 sessions and more than 65 exhibitors, UKISUG Connect is the UK and Ireland's premier SAP user event.

Craig added: “The venue itself is fantastic. The ICC has invested heavily in improvements such as the Wi-Fi connectivity and in-hall technology over recent years, which continues to have an incredibly positive impact on our event. Each year we challenge the ICC team to bring innovative ideas around catering, production and SUGFest to the table and they never fail to impress us. The team really are second to none.”

ICC Associations Account Director, Linda Best, said: “We really enjoy having the SAP User Group at our venue, and hosting the committee and planning meetings in the run up to the event means we have the opportunity to input ideas throughout the whole process.
