UK&I SAP User Group launches SAP Business One Academy to address skills shortage and bring essential training to users

Published on

London, U.K. - 24 January 2020 – The UK & Ireland SAP User Group (UKISUG), the independent not-for-profit organisation representing all users of SAP software, has today announced the launch of its SAP Business One Academy aimed at addressing the shortage of people with the skill sets required to implement, manage and most importantly use SAP Business One. In collaboration with SAP education and academic partners, the UKISUG SAP Business One Academy will provide customers and partners with classroom-based and online training to help users achieve SAP Business One Associate Certification.

“Our members have frequently highlighted that there is a shortage of appropriate SAP Business One training for customers,” said Craig Dale, Chief Executive at the UK & Ireland SAP User Group. “User organisations require people with end user or expert level skill sets, while VARs require their consultants to be certified and knowledgeable to implement the software for their customers. Through our SAP Business One Academy we are enabling customers and partners to develop the next generation of talent.”

The UKISUG SAP Business One Academy will create a unique learning pathway and skills journey for different personas from basic to expert users. Bringing together the current capabilities from SAP education, academic organisations and UK&I User Group experts, the SAP Business One Academy will deliver specific subject disciplines such as CRM, Basic Finance, Logistics, Admin & Setup through to expert level training.

“If you are a small 10-15 employee business, having someone away two to three days at a time is a big loss and often there will be aspects of training that isn’t relevant to that person’s job role. We have worked really closely with SAP to ensure that users are provided with a short and affordable course, which delivers the training they need. We believe that the UKISUG SAP Business One Academy will deliver added value to our members and help users learn best-practice from day one,” added Craig Dale.

Matt Sinclair, Head of Business One and BusinessByDesign, SAP UK & Ireland, commented: “We are delighted to be working closely with the SAP User Group on the launch and development of the SAP Business One Academy. We will work collaboratively to ensure our Business One customers have an improved understanding of the software they are using, and the power it can bring to their business.”

The User Group will be hosting its first SAP Business One Academy Basic Finance Module on Tuesday 11th February. For further details visit https://www.sapusers.org/events/2504/business-one-academy-training-course
