Learn how to make the most of BI at the UKISUG Analytics Symposium

Published on

Analytics play a vital role in helping organisations to make informed decisions in every aspect their business. However, many SAP users are struggling to make the most of their BI tools due to time pressures, data management challenges and the fast pace of digital transformation. These challenges are set to grow as 68% of SAP users expect their BI portfolios to increase according to a recent ASUG report.

To help users hear the latest insights around analytics and learn from their peers andSAP experts, we are hosting our virtual Analytics Symposium later this month as part of the UKISUG Digital Showcase series.

This year’s Analytics Symposium will feature a virtual keynote from SAP Innovation Evangelist Timo Elliott. In his talk, Timo will outline the most common barriers faced in BI and look at how organisations are making progress in overcoming them.

Following this, Rob Patrick & UK MD Stacey White from G3G will discuss a very different kind of ERP (That’s the Elephant, Rhino and People Air Force), and how it used SAP to help protect endangered wildlife in South Africa. G3G will explain how ERP use drones to monitor elephant and rhino herds in conservation areas, analysing the data from drones, animal collars and other IoT devices in the cloud with SAP HANA reporting and SAP’s Leonardo framework.

There will also be several customer and partner breakout sessions aimed at helping users to enhance their analytics knowledge. Customers will include Rob Moore from Edwards Vacuum, who will explain the firm’s move from ECC to SDI to HANA to Analytics. Gaurish Dessai from Croda will also present, explaining how the company used SAP Leonardo IoT to build smarter labs. Additionally, Shane Scott and Dawn Ingle from Shoosmiths will outline how they built dashboards for the firm.

The partner sessions will cover a variety of topics from the challenges of combining data in analytics solutions, building smart IoT labs with Google Cloud through to innovating with SAP Cloud.

The event will run from 9am-2pm on Tuesday 22nd of September, and you can find out more in the full agenda here.

This event is open for non-members too, who can sign up to attend as a guest for £150.
