Get a handle on your data at the UKISUG Data Symposium

Published on

By the end of the year, there will be 40x more bytes of data than there are stars in the universe. As the volume and variety of data increases, it’s harder for organisations to manage it effectively and gain the insights they need to improve efficiency and identify new opportunities.

To help SAP users make the most out of their data, we are hosting our virtual Data Symposium as part of the UKISUG Digital Showcase. Taking place on the 29th of October, this unique online event will give SAP users an opportunity to hear from data management experts and the opportunity to network and learn from other SAP customers (virtually of course!).

The event kicks off with a talk from Tina Rosario, Head of Data Innovation and Chief Data Officer at SAP, who will explain why it’s vital to have a data strategy that aligns with business outcomes. As data governance, quality and privacy have become a part of the core business agenda, Tina will highlight how investment in data programmes will help deliver business value, and offer some tips on how to translate data capabilities into business benefits. Following this, there will be a talk from Proceed Group Managing Director Nick Parkin, who will explain how to simplify your data migrations and reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO).

After the main keynotes, there will be a wide range of breakout sessions taking place, covering everything from data governance, integration, and readiness. There will also be several customer presentations. HVR Managing Consultant Edwin Commandeur will explain how a global water technology company modernised with SAP and the cloud. Additionally, Tibor Kosche, Vice President M.A.R.S. at T-Systems will run through how the company accelerated its business by migrating data from legacy applications.

You can find out more information about the Data Symposium here. Members can attend this event at no extra cost, while non-members can take part for £150.

For the first time, the Data Symposium – as well as other UKISUG events – are now CPD certified. After each event, attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance to attach to your CPD log as evidence of development. We look forward to seeing you there.
